In addition to its Leadership/Management team, T&K Asphalt Inc. has a Board of Advisors who works with and guides the company’s growth and decisions. The members bring strong and diverse business backgrounds to their role with T&K.

Kenneth Kirkland, CPA, MST, Founding and Managing Partner, KAF

Kenneth Kirkland, Founding and Managing Partner of KAF, has more than 30 years’ experience in public accounting, specializing in tax services and the design and implementation of acquisition strategies. Ken began his career with the Internal Revenue Service, affording him a unique understanding of the tax code and representation of businesses in front of the IRS. He holds Securities Series 6 and 66 licenses from the Securities and Exchange Commission, and has served on the Board of Directors for the accounting organization JHI International and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the South Shore Hospital. Ken is a featured speaker at business conferences, discussing exit strategies for closely held business owners, and is an active member in several industry and community organizations. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University and his Master’s Degree in Taxation from Bentley College. Ken is one of the very few people in New England who admits to actually loving the winter, as his pastimes include skiing and snowmobiling during the colder months of the year.

Patrick J. Furnari, CPA, MST, CVA, Managing Partner, Tactical Solutions LLC

Patrick is the Managing Partner of Tactical Solutions, LLC, a division of KAF. Following a career in public accounting, and in response to the economic challenges in the late 1980’s, he entered the field of “crisis management”, or “turn around management” and joined KAF in 2001.

He has more than twenty-five years of experience in this field, which includes a variety of business skills including managing through difficult situations, mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, vendor management, refinancing alternatives, deal structure, and creditor negotiations.

Outside of the office, Patrick enjoys visiting his three children in Colorado, Arizona, and Georgia, as well as golfing and skiing.  He is currently a member, and also serves on the board, of Thomson Country Club in North Reading, Massachusetts and enjoys spending time at his home in Hanover, Maine, near Sunday River Ski resort.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and holds his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from North Adams State College along with his Master’s Degree in Taxation from Bentley College.

Robert Fraser, MBA, President, Chief Executive Officer, MountainOne Financial

Robert Fraser is President and Chief Executive Officer of MountainOne Financial, MHC and its subsidiary MountainOne Bank, first joining in 2007 as Senior Lender of South Coastal Bank.

He is a veteran commercial banker, who was formerly a Senior Banker for the Citizens Bank Boston/South Middle Market Commercial Lending Division.

Bob holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and earned an MBA from Northeastern University. Bob is an active community partner, and has held the positions of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and Board of Directors member of not-for-profit Triangle, Inc.  He is currently a member of the South Shore Hospital President’s Circle and the Berkshire CEO Business Roundtable. MountainOne Bank has seven full service offices serving the Berkshires, Boston South and Danvers, MA.

He and his family reside in Marshfield, MA.
