Management Team

Our management team is the strongest of any paving company in the industry, with more than 50 combined years’ experience right here at T&K. Steven Rose, President and COO, is supported by Bob Delmore, Chief Financial Officer; Todd Gorell and Gary Zemotel, Vice-Presidents of Sales; Chris Duffy, Vice-President of Plant and Equipment; Scott Stevenson, Vice-President, Safety and Training; and Mark Vecchione, Chief Estimator and IT Director. Our team stands behind our products and we are committed, as we have always been, to providing products and level of customer service second to none.

Steven Rose, President/Chief Operating Officer

As President and Chief Operating Officer, Steve oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operations for T&K Asphalt, working closely with the rest of the Management Team and the company’s Advisory Board on both short-term and long-term strategic and financial goals, and the direction of the company.

Steve came to T&K in 2013 with nearly four decades’ industry experience. His first role here was Managing Partner; he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and President/Chief Operating Officer in 2015. Before joining T&K, he was Vice President/Construction Operations at Lorusso Corporation; his work also included nine years with P.A. Landers, most recently as Vice President of Operations. His industry experience also includes Henley-Lundgren, where he helped build highways including Route 495, and Route 25 (leading to Cape Cod).

Steve resides in Avon, MA with his wife Paula. Steve is a 10-year member of the Avon Board of Selectmen and served on the town’s Planning Board for 15 years.

Gary Zemotel, Vice President/Sales

In his capacity as Vice President/Sales, Gary specializes in commercial accounts, across Cape Cod and the South Shore. He joined T&K more than twenty years ago, although his connection with the company goes back even longer. He and T&K founder Kevin Gosnell were childhood friends growing up in Hanover. Gary had graduated from Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, and his old childhood friend offered him a position with T&K. Gary began in residential sales and was promoted along the way to be part of the company’s leadership team.

Outside of the workplace, Gary is very involved with youth sports in South Plymouth, where he lives with his wife Heather and their four children: Dylan, Ryan, Logan and Kendall.  Gary coaches youth flag football, basketball and baseball.


Scott Stevenson, Vice President, Safety & Training

Scott is the Vice-President, Safety & Training, and General Counsel for T&K, as well as the company’s EHS Officer (Environmental Safety and Health). Scott chairs the T&K Safety Committee, which establishes and maintains good health and safety rules, governmental compliance and accident prevention, on the job sites and in the T&K yards.

Prior to joining T&K in 2011, Scott enjoyed a very successful career in the practice of law. He began as a trial lawyer in Chicago; shortly after moving to Boston in 1982, he became General Counsel of Spencer Press, Inc., then the largest web offset printer in New England with two manufacturing plants. He later formed his own law firm, which today is known as Stevenson, Lynch & Owens, P.C. in Hingham, MA. He retired from his active law practice in 2011 to join T&K. Scott’s first experience with the company was as a customer; he had hired the firm to provide snow removal services for an office condominium complex he owned. Scott began as T&K’s Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel, and then in 2013 he became primarily responsible for EHS and Employee Training in general at T&K.

Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Wittenberg University and a J.D. from Loyola University School of Law. He is OSHA 10, 30 and 40 (Hazwoper) trained and certified.

Scott is an accomplished musician, performing as a soloist (baritone). He also has a keen interest in and knowledge of baseball, and has advised the CEO of the Boston Red Sox on a regular basis. He and his wife Alexsandra, a former TWA and American Airlines flight attendant, live in Hingham.

Mark Vecchione, Chief Estimator/IT Director

Mark Vecchione wears several hats at T&K Asphalt Services. As the company’s Chief Estimator, he reviews all proposals that T&K provides to prospects and customers. He is additionally the Information Technology (IT) Director, and he oversees the company’s Communication Center, which is the lifeblood of T&K’s job scheduling and product coordination. Mark first joined the T&K Asphalt team more than twenty years ago, at the age of 17. During his time, he has worked in virtually every aspect of T&K’s operations.  He has been a project manager, residential sealcoat division manager, purchasing agent and scheduler.

The married father of two children lives in East Bridgewater, and, outside of the workplace, is Assistant Scoutmaster for local Boy Scout Troop 29 in East Bridgewater.

Chris Duffy, Facilities Manager

As Facilities Manager, Chris is responsible for the repair and maintenance of more than 400 pieces of equipment and for the upkeep of the main office in Whitman as well as the company’s satellite locations. Chris leads a team of six mechanics and several support people to see that all of the T&K equipment is in good running order 24/7.

Before joining T&K in 2004, he worked at BFI for 16 years, and ran their shops at several locations. Chris holds a Class A CDL license with Hazardous Materials and Tanker Endorsements, hoisting licenses in MA and Rhode Island, and he is an ASE Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician. He studied Diesel Technology at Massasoit College.

Chris resides in Hanson with his wife Karen; they are parents to three children Christopher, Sean and Nicholas.
